Special Events

Ball State University Dance Marathon's special events are different fundraising events that are held throughout the year. They also raise awareness and inspire participants to join us in February for the marathon. The event types vary but are open to all Ball State students and non students. By participating in these events, BSUDM dancers will receive the opportunity to get soft credited the money they spend on registration for the events. This means that they money a dancer pays to attend an event, will go towards their fundraising total.

POLO ON THE PRAIRIE

Polo On The Prairie is our first special event of the year and it is our first time BSUDM has ever held this event. Hosted at Hickory Hall Polo Club on September 3, 2016 at 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Guest can either pay when they enter the event or they can pay before hand at the following link: http://hyperurl.co/er6n9g

FT5K and Wayland's Fun Run

The FT5K and Wayland's Fun Run is BSUDM's largest annual event. Held in early fall, participants get the opportunity to enjoy a 5k walk/run through the Ball State campus. A t-shirt is provided as well as prizes to the top 5 runners. Wayland's Fun Run typically follows after the race. This is a children's obstacle course for kids 12 and under. Wayland's Fun Run is in honor of one of BSUDM's Riley kids, Wayland Villars, who passed away in the fall of 2013.

This year, BSUDM is bringing back their talent show! Organizations and individuals can have the opportunity to perform at the marathon on February 20th by placing in the top 3 performing acts at this year's talent show. This is a great way to show thousands of Ball State students your act and get involved in BSUDM!
